MICHAELA BLAHUTOVA

Michaela obtained Master of Arts degree in linguistics at the University of Palacky in Czechoslovakia, where she grew up.  She received her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Alberta in 2001 and was admitted as a member of the Alberta bar in 2002. 

 

She practices primarily in the areas of immigration law, family law, wills and estates.

Michaela is a member of the Law Society of Alberta and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.  She served as a board member of several organizations, including Edmonton Continuing Adult Education, and she is a volunteer at the Edmonton Community Legal Centre and at Grande Prairie Council for Lifelong Learning.

Her personal interests include tennis, skiing, soccer, cooking (and even more so eating), classical music, and opera (often to the dislike of her family, especially during family road trips).  She is a member of the Czech and Slovak Association for Arts and Sciences, and of the Czech and Slovak Choir of Edmonton.

Michaela can assist clients in English, Slovak, German, and Czech.
